How to prepare your property.
One of the most important ingredients towards perfectly marketing your property is the preparation that takes place beforehand.
Please put aside a small portion of your time to follow these tips as you will boost the look of the final result massively!
Most of these tips may seem like common sense, but it is always nice to have a guide to follow to make sure that everyone is on the same page.
General interior preparation
Make sure that all rooms are clean, and each piece of furniture is in its place. Prepare the beds as if you were accommodating a guest.
Set the table with dishes and glasses or a vase.
Removing clutter from the rooms will give potential customers a clear clean look at the property;
Remove items that are not typically found in the space that they are currently in.
Remove items that are covering too much of a surface; Pans left out in the kitchen etc.
Remove glasses or any drinks left around.
Remove any sort of rubbish that hasn’t been cleaned up.
Privacy.
Please remove any personal items.
Removing framed photos that include people when possible is important. If there are any marks left on the wall there is no need to worry, that will be removed by us in post-production.
If you are not able to fully remove any of the photo frames then cover the photo with a sheet of card or paper, this will allow us to remove the photo frame seamlessly in post-production.
Hiding your keys and any jar or box where you store your keys is also something we suggest.
Lighting and hygiene.
For the photos, our photographer may close your windows, however, it is important to keep airflow throughout the property whenever it is possible to keep yourself and our photographer safe in these difficult times.
Curtains and blinds should be open in a way that lets as much natural light in as possible.
The property’s exterior
Clean up the exterior and cut any overgrown grass. If the property has a large garden it’s best to hire a gardener before the shoot.
Clean the swimming pool if applicable.
These are all major steps that will make your property considerably more attractive to any customer.
